General Tips

While completing patterns on this site:

  • Work in continuous rounds unless otherwise noted.  

  • Always hide ends inside of work unless explicitly instructed otherwise.

  • Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round and move up each round, alternatively, use a piece of scrap yarn as a running marker. 

  • When using a magic circle start, pull the magic circle tight after first round and again after completing the second round of stitches (typically 12 sc round)

  • invisible decrease method works best with this pattern, unless otherwise noted

Face Shaping

Thread a needle with yarn and create a large, secure knot at the end of the yarn. Sew up through the hole still in the head and then out through the first eye socket placement. Sew back through the head into the second eye socket and pull tightly so that the shape of the face changes.

“Crochet to Corner” on Limbs

Continue to corner” instruction on limbs allows for differences in tension, hook size and yarn, the following round will have you fold the piece flat and sctog close through both sides. Placement of this closing round, and the seam at the top it creates determines the final limb orientation. Fold your current work flat at the top, and lay on a flat surface. The final seam should be parallel to the flat surface with the foot pointed up.
